Granola is the notetaker founders love, now a $1.5B company. Be honest about the note quality: it's excellent. The gap is everything before and after the meeting — the brief, the follow-up, the record, the next booking.

Granola earned its reputation: unobtrusive capture, notes that read like a smart colleague wrote them, and at $14/user/month for Business it's fairly priced. If your only job is remembering what was said, keep it. The problem shows up when the meeting is part of a deal. The summary sits in Granola; the CRM still waits for a human; the follow-up email doesn't exist; the 'can we find time next week?' thread is still unanswered — that's a separate Calendly subscription in Granola's world. For a sales team, the meeting isn't the unit of work. The deal is. Agent07's Meeting Agent does the Granola job at parity — record, transcribe, summarize — and then does the sales work around it: briefs you before the call from the whole deal history, assists during it, and afterwards drafts the follow-up, updates the record, and books the next meeting.
Granola's notes are meeting-scoped. They never meet the email thread, the contract, or the pipeline — so every insight from the call has to be carried into other systems by hand.
The follow-up email, the CRM update, the next-step task, the next meeting — all still the rep's job. A notetaker hands back the minutes spent typing notes, not the hours spent on the work around the call.
Granola doesn't answer the scheduling email or book anything. Most Granola stacks carry Calendly ($16–20/seat) beside it — two tools for one meeting's lifecycle.
Granola can't brief you, because it has no deal object to brief from. Reps walk in reconstructing context from four tabs — the exact scramble the notetaker was supposed to end.

Agent07
Agent07 is the best Granola alternative for sales teams because the meeting is treated as part of a deal, not a standalone artifact. The Meeting Agent schedules the call (agent-negotiated, no Calendly), briefs you from the whole Deal Memory before it, records and summarizes at parity during it, and afterwards drafts the follow-up, writes the CRM update, and extracts objections and commitments into a structured, org-level library.
